Hugh Hefner may be one of the only people disappointed that NBC’s “The Playboy Club” was canceled.

The show, which premiered on Sept. 19, was canceled after three episodes when the last one drew only 3.5 million viewers on Monday. The network announced the cancellation on Tuesday.

“I'm sorry NBC's ‘The Playboy Club’ didn't find it's audience,” Hefner tweeted. “It should have been on cable, aimed at a more adult audience.”

“The Playboy Club” was the first canceled show of the fall TV season, and NBC has announced it will be replaced with a new show called “Rock Center,” featuring Brian Williams and Meredith Vieira, much to Hefner’s dismay.

He tweeted: “Fans of ‘The Playboy Club’ are really upset at the cancellation.”

But Hefner still has something to look forward to now that “The Playboy Club” has shutdown.

He posted: “At the same time, there is renewed studio interest in a major motion picture on my life and the start of the Sexual Revolution.”
