While on Bethenny Frankel’s new talk show, “Bethenny,” actress Kate Walsh confirmed rumors that had been swirling about her role in “Private Practice.”

“This is my last season for ‘Private Practice’,” Walsh, 44, told Frankel. “It’s been an incredible journey and amazing ride. I’m hugely, hugely grateful.”

Walsh, who plays Dr. Addison Montgomery, was on the ABC show since the first season premiered in 2007, but now it’s time to hang up the scrubs.

“It’s bittersweet, it’s a huge chapter of my life,” Walsh said. “It’s been eight years.”

Still, the actress said she’s excited about her sixth and last season, which will premiere this fall.
