As Facebook and Twitter are bursting at the seams with love following the Supreme Court's rejection of the Defense of Marriage Act, one celebrity is celebrating in a surprising way -- with a social media proposal to her significant other.

"Veronica Mars" actress Kristen Bell, 32, took to Twitter shortly after DOMA was ruled unconstitutional in a 5-4 vote Wednesday with a series of celebratory tweets, including, "@daxshepard1 will you marry me? Xo #marriageequality #loveislove."

Dax Shepard, 38, responded, "DOMA is dead. Prop 8 is dead. Now let's bring my big, gay marriage to @IMKristenBell to Life!!!!"

The new parents to daughter Lincoln, 3 months, have actually been engaged for more than three years. So while this is technically a re-proposal, it seems the couple is finally going to start planning a wedding. Much like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Bell and Shepard previously vowed to delay their own nuptials until marriage is legalized for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation.

"The reason we're not rushing to get married is because I don't feel appropriate taking advantage of a right that's denied to my [gay and lesbian] friends," she told Larry King in August 2012 during a discussion about Proposition 8.

Congrats to the re-engaged (and hopefully soon-to-be-wed) couple!
