Miley Cyrus' brothers-in-law to-be are reportedly not keen on the singer becoming a part of the family.

Liam Hemsworth's brothers, Chris and Luke, staged an intervention last month in an effort to break off their younger sibling's engagement to Cyrus, a source tells Us Weekly. The source didn't offer many details but said "they want him to end the romance for good."

While it's unclear exactly what the Hemsworth bros' beef is with 20-year-old Cyrus, the reported intervention could be the reason the couple are putting off wedding planning and spending lots of time apart. The singer offered her own explanation in a recent interview with V magazine, saying though she and her "Hunger Games" beau live together, she's not "home with my boyfriend all the time" because they are both busy working.

Cyrus took to Twitter in March to slam reports they have called off the wedding altogether, which surfaced after she stepped out multiple times without her engagement ring and Hemsworth was spotted cozying up to "Mad Men" actress January Jones and "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson.
