The estate of the late abstract expressionist painter/art icon Jackson Pollock and his wife, Lee Krasner (also an accomplished artist), the property has been restored as a museum and is under the authority of the Stony Brook Foundation (an affiliate of Stony Brook University). Open to students, researchers and the public (by appointment), patrons can visit the artists' studio, still marked by drips of paint dropped by Pollock himself. Hours change seasonally, as does admission; check ahead for updated visitor information.


May-Oct., Thur, Fri & Sat. 1-5 p.m., one guided tour at noon (reserve online at pkhouse.org).
