THE DEAL The Massapequa-raised actor will star opposite Demi Moore in a new independent film, according to "Blind," which is slated to shoot in New York, tells the story of a novelist (Baldwin) who is blinded in a car crash that kills his wife but later begins an affair with a married woman (Moore). The director is Michael Mailer (son of author Norman Mailer), who produced "Friends & Romans," a recent release from two Long Island-raised filmmakers.

THE MOVIE "The Zookeeper's Wife"

THE DEAL Production has officially begun in the Czech Republic on this historical drama, according to Focus Features. The film stars Johan Heldenbergh and Chastain ("The Martian," "Crimson Peak") as Jan and Antonina Zabinski, caretakers at Poland's Warsaw Zoo who became part of the Resistance under the Nazis during the early years of World War II. The film is directed by Niki Caro ("Whale Rider") and based on Diane Ackerman's nonfiction book.

THE MOVIE "Hampstead"

THE DEAL The actress is set to star in a movie about a woman who embarks on a second chapter in her life, Variety reports. Keaton will play an American widow in London's picturesque Hampstead Village who finds herself drawn to a gruff loner (Brendan Gleeson). It's the rare film in which the female star is older than her male lead: Keaton is 69 and Gleeson 60. The director is Joel Hopkins ("Last Chance Harvey"). Production is to begin on location early next year.
