AMC's Best Picture Showcase screens all 10 nominees

Before you join an Oscar pool or attempt to debate the merits of "Precious" over "Avatar," you've got to see all of the best picture nominees. But with 10 nominated films for the first time in decades, you'll spend every weekend at the local multiplex (and a ton of money) trying to catch up. Unless, of course, you make it to AMC's Best Picture Showcase, screening all 10 nominees in two days, Saturday and March 6, just in time for the Academy Awards on March 7.

AMC Loews Stony Brook 17 and AMC Loews Raceway 10 in Westbury are participating on Long Island. Additionally, Kips Bay in Manhattan will screen the films.

The screenings start each Saturday at 10:30 a.m.; theaters open at 9 a.m. Tickets are $30, available online, or $60 for both days ($50 at the box office). The day includes a free large popcorn with unlimited refills, and ticket holders may come and go as they wish. More information at amcentertainment.com/bps.
