Ben Affleck brought the latest trailer for his upcoming film, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” to ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wednesday night, allowing fans a three-minute peek at the long-awaited DC Comics movie.
The trailer begins with mild-mannered reporter Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) conducting a somewhat hostile interview with Gotham City’s resident millionaire Bruce Wayne (Affleck). The conflict seems to make good on the film’s title, and the two can later be seen butting heads in their superhero guises. “If I wanted it, you’d be dead already,” Superman yells at The Dark Knight.
There are glimpses of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Amy Adams as Lois Lane -- and what may be a villain known as Doomsday -- but little screen time is given to Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, one of the most hotly anticipated characters in any comic-to-movie universe. She materializes only at the end, surprising both our heroes. “I thought she was with you,” says Batman.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” directed by Zack Snyder, arrives in theaters March 25, 2016.
