THE MOVIE "Michael"

THE DEAL The actress will play James Franco's girlfriend, and Zachary Quinto will play his boyfriend, in an upcoming movie about a gay man who becomes an anti-gay pastor, Variety reports. The script is based on "My Ex-Gay Best Friend," a New York Times Magazine article about Michael Glatze, a minister from Wyoming who once founded a gay youth magazine but later rejected his sexuality. Franco will play the lead role; newcomer Justin Kelly will direct.

THE MOVIE "Child 44"

THE DEAL The latest movie to star the rising British actor has been given an official release date of April 17, according to reports. A thriller set in Stalinist Russia, "Child 44" stars Hardy (also in the upcoming "Mad Max: Fury Road") as a member of the secret police who realizes that his government may be involved in a series of mysterious deaths. The film is based on the popular novel by Tom Rob Smith and also features Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke (both currently in "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes") and Noomi Rapace.

THE MOVIE "Burning Bodhi"

THE DEAL Horn and Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting of CBS' "The Big Bang Theory" will co-star with Landon Liborion, of Netflix's "Hemlock Grove," in an upcoming independent film, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It tells the story of a man in his 20s (Liborion) who returns to his New Mexico hometown after hearing that an old high school friend has suddenly died. Virginia Madsen also stars. The film, written and directed by Matthew McDuffie, is to begin shooting in Albuquerque this week.
