In 2003 he landed the role of Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” The film was released in 2005.
Pattinson, 25, recently told David Letterman on ?The Late Show? that he got into acting to meet girls, which he most certainly did.
Rumor has it that Pattinson and his co-star Kristen Stewart are dating and have been for several years. Though the pair has hinted at their relationship they have never publicly confirmed it.
Outside of acting, Pattinson is passionate about music, and he plays both the piano and the guitar. His music can be heard on the soundtrack of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" Part 1.
Kristen Jaymes Stewart was born in Los Angeles on April 9, 1990. Her father worked as a TV producer and her mother worked as a script supervisor.
"I never wanted to be the center of attention. It wasn't that 'I want to be famous, I want to be an actor,'" Stewart told Biography Today. "I never sought out acting, but I always practiced my autograph because I love pens. I'd write my name on everything."
Stewart's natural acting talents were noticed by an agent at one of her school Christmas plays when she was 8 years old. In 2002 she played Jodie Foster's daughter in "Panic Room,"and was nominated for a Young Artist Award.
Stewart has three dogs and a cat.
Taylor Daniel Lautner was born in Grand Rapids, Mi., on Feb. 11, 1992. At the age of 6, Lautner began attending karate school and quickly became obsessed with martial arts. He went on to compete for the U.S. in various junior martial arts competitions, winning titles and awards.
Lautner's family moved to California so he could audition, and after a string of small TV and movie rolls, he garnered the sought-after part of Jacob Black in "Twilight."
Lautner has since appeared in films like "Valentines Day" and "Abduction."
Nicole Houston Reed was born on May 17, 1988. Her parents divorced when she was young, and Reed lived with her mother but moved out to live on her own at age 14. Reed wrote about her experiences in the semi-autobiographical film "Thirteen." She also starred in the film.
Ashley Michele Greene was born in Jacksonville, Fla., and grew up as a tomboy, always trying to compete with her older brothers. During her teenage years, her mother put her in modeling classes, but was told she was too short to be a model.
Greene later took an acting class, decided she wanted to move to Los Angeles at 17 and took extra courses to graduate high school early. After three years in California, Greene auditioned for the role of Bella Swan in "Twilight," but was called back to audition for the role of Alice Cullen.
Jackson Rathbone was born in Singapore and lived in places like Indonesia, Texas and Switzerland. After graduating from high school, Rathbone moved to Los Angeles, where he began working with Disney. He starred in ABC Family's 2005 film "Beautiful People," and in 2008 landed the role of Jasper in the "Twilight" series.
Kellan Lutz was born on March 15, 1985 in Dickinson, North Dakota. Lutz first worked as a model and later started acting. His first TV role was in "The Bold and the Beautiful." His big break came when he was cast as vampire Emmet Cullen in "Twilight" in 2008.
Peter Facinelli is originally from Queens, NY, and attended acting school in the city. He is married to Jennie Garth, who he met while filming "An Unfinished Affair." He is a father to two daughters, and plays Edward Cullen's vampire father in the "Twilight" series.
Elizabeth Reaser always wanted to be an actress but worked odd jobs growing up. She was once a caddy for a country club. She attended The Julliard School for acting, and later landed roles such a guest spot on "Grey's Anatomy," which landed her an Emmy nomination. In 2008 she got the role of Esme Cullen, Edward's vampire mother in "Twilight."
Hannah Dakota Fanning was born in Georgia and got her first role in a national Tide commercial. Shortly after, her family moved to Los Angeles, where Fanning got her first big break in "I Am Sam." She went on to star in everything from "Uptown Girls" to "War of the Worlds." A change for Fannning, she plays a small role in "Twlight" as Jane, a member of a rival vampire clan.
