THE DEAL This horror film shot largely on Long Island will screen at Montreal's Comiccon HorrorFest next month. It stars Brandi Cyrus (Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana") and Bill Moseley (Rob Zombie's "The Devil's Rejects") and follows two twisted brothers who pose as paramedics to answer 911 calls. Screenwriter Paul Travers is a former Coram resident who produced the film with several partners, including Dayna Ghiraldi, an entertainment-industry publicist raised in Farmingville. "Old 37" has been purchased for North American distribution by Anchor Bay Entertainment Canada and Epic Pictures Group.

THE MOVIE " Murder on the Orient Express"
THE DEAL The director of Disney's live-action "Cinderella" is in talks to direct a new adaptation of the classic Agatha Christie novel, according to TheWrap. Christie's 1934 mystery has been adapted before, most famously in 1974 with Albert Finney as dogged Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and an ensemble cast that included Lauren Bacall, Oscar winner Ingrid Bergman, Jacqueline Bisset, Sean Connery, Vanessa Redgrave and Anthony Perkins. The new screenwriter is Michael Green, whose resume also includes the upcoming "Blade Runner" film.
THE MOVIE "Price for Freedom"
THE DEAL Paul Sorvino, Sally Kirkland and Navid Negahban head the cast of Dylan Bank's drama about a man who starts an underground railroad to help Iranians escape from their country following the Islamic Revolution in 1979. It screens as part of the ongoing Furman Film Series with Marc Benhuri, the real-life subject of the film, in attendance.
