WHO Kate Beckinsale

THE MOVIE "The Face of an Angel"

THE DEAL The British actress is set to join Daniel Bruhl ("Rush") in a new drama from director Michael Winterbottom ("24 Hour Party People"), according to Deadline.com. The film is based on Barbie Latza Nadeau's book "Angel Face," and its plot reportedly resembles the story of Amanda Knox, the American who served four years in prison for killing her housemate in Italy before her conviction was overturned. Beckinsale will play a journalist and Bruhl a documentary filmmaker pursuing the story.

THE MOVIE "Good Ol' Freda"

THE DEAL Ryan White's documentary focuses on Freda Kelly, who, as a young Liverpudlian, became the secretary for a struggling rock group called The Beatles. She would stay with them from 1961 to 1972 -- longer, in fact, than the band's 10-year career.
