Long Island International Film Expo announces 2016 lineup

The 19th annual Long Island International Film Expo, which runs July 13 through 21, has announced its full lineup.
Among the 127 titles are “The Train,” a short film featuring the late Eli Wallach; “Immunity,” a World War II drama filmed at Gold Coast Studios; and “Sugar!,” starring Alice Ripley as a housewife who forms an all-female, over-50 rock band to the dismay of her Republican husband (Robert Clohessy).
As previously announced, Ed Asner will be the recipient of the Expo’s lifetime achievement award and the subject of a documentary, “My Friend Ed,” which will screen opening night. The full schedule is at longislandfilmexpo.com.
