The animated feature “Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You,” based on the children’s book inspired by her 1994 hit song, will debut on home video and streaming on Nov. 14.

Universal Studios Home Entertainment said Wednesday that the film, narrated by Huntington-born and Greenlawn-raised Carey, 48, will include an original song as well as three of the singer’s Christmas tunes: the title track, “Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)” and “Christmas Time Is in the Air Again.” The 91-minute feature follows young Mariah (voiced by Breanna Yde, from the Nickelodeon series “School of Rock”), who wants a puppy for Christmas. But first she must prove she’s responsible by pet-sitting a rambunctious mutt named Jack. Henry Winkler, Lacey Chabert and Phil Morris also provide voices.

Carey on Wednesday tweeted a trailer for the film, which was written by Temple Mathews (Peter Pan feature “Return to Neverland,” the direct-to-video “The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea”) and directed by Guy Vasilovich (2012’s Cartoon Network TV-movie “Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out”). The feature will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and On Demand.

In 2015, Carey, who has directed music videos, made her feature directing debut with the Hallmark Channel telefilm “A Christmas Melody,” in which she also played a supporting role. Carey sang “All I Want For Christmas Is You” in a holiday special, “Mariah Carey’s Merriest Christmas,” immediately following the Dec. 18 airing.
