Natalie Portman, nominated for her role in the Jacqueline Kennedy biopic “Jackie,” will not attend this year’s Oscars.
"Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards," the Syosset native said in a statement given to multiple outlets. "I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends."
Portman’s 2017 nod for best actress is her third Oscar nomination. She won the award in 2010 for “Black Swan” and was nominated in 2004 for her supporting role in “Closer.”
This is Portman’s second pregnancy. She welcomed son Aleph with husband Benjamin Millepied in 2011.
