WHO Sandra Bullock

THE MOVIE "Gravity"

THE DEAL The November release of Warner Bros.' big-budget, 3-D, sci-fi epic starring Bullock and George Clooney has been pushed back until next year, the studio says. The film is said to be an ambitious production from director Alfonso Cuarón ("Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban") with an opening tracking shot rumored to last 17 minutes, though the date change removes it from the late-autumn crush of awards contenders and crowd pleasers. Warner Bros. will still be a strong presence late in the year with the December releases of Peter Jackson's first "Hobbit" entry and the Leonardo DiCaprio-Tobey Maguire drama, "The Great Gatsby."

THE MOVIE "Broadway's Finest"

THE DEAL The 15th annual Long Island International Film Expo will run July 12-19 at Bellmore Movies, with 141 films from 21 countries. The schedule for Friday, July 13, will feature all local films, a first, even for this regionally focused festival. That lineup includes "Broadway's Finest," an action-comedy about police impersonators that was filmed all over Long Island by writer-director Stephen Marro (he's from the Long Beach-Lido Beach area). Visit liifilmexpo.org for updates on the festival's schedule.

THE MOVIE "Stella Days"

THE DEAL Set in 1956, this Irish comedy-drama stars Martin Sheen as a priest in Tipperary, where the arrival of Hollywood films turns the conservative town upside down. Stephen Rea ("The Crying Game") also stars; Thaddeus O'Sullivan (2003's "The Heart of Me") directs. The movie is playing as part of this season's Furman Film Series, which runs through June 18.

INFO Thursday night at 7:30 at Squire Cinemas, 115 Middle Neck Rd., Great Neck. Tickets are $15-$20. 516-829-2570; greatneckarts.org.
