THE DEAL The Chinese actress who played the teleporting mutant Blink in “X-Men: Days of Future Past” has signed with the powerhouse Creative Artists Agency, according to industry reports. Bingbing’s deal comes at a time when Hollywood is paying close attention to China’s box office, which increased by nearly 50 percent last year and could surpass America’s in 2017. A major star in that country since the 1990s, Bingbing recently placed fifth on Forbes’ list of the world’s highest-paid actresses, ahead of Amy Adams, Charlize Theron and Julia Roberts.
THE MOVIE “Space Jam”
THE DEAL The beloved Looney Tunes blockbuster from 1996, starring a live-action Michael Jordan and an animated Bugs Bunny, celebrates its 20th anniversary with screenings at local theaters this month. Set against an intergalactic theme park named Moron Mountain, the film features an eclectic all-star cast of humans and cartoons, including Danny DeVito, Daffy Duck, Larry Bird, Yosemite Sam and Bill Murray. Screenings will be preceded by the 2011 short “I Tawt I Taw a Puddy Tat,” starring Tweety and Sylvester.

THE EVENT OLA Latino Film Festival
THE DEAL The 13th annual festival, presented by the Organización Latino-Americana of Eastern Long Island, features four Spanish-language films with English subtitles. The festival’s first screening is “Un Tango Mas,” an 85-minute documentary about María Nieves Rego and Juan Carlos Copes, two Argentines who met in the 1940s as teenagers and have continued to dance together into their 80s.
