The release of Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” the previously announced sequel to the acclaimed franchise about the lives of children’s toys, has been pushed back a second time, to June 21, 2019.
Walt Disney Studios announced that it had swapped dates with another Pixar sequel, “The Incredibles 2,” which will now be released June 15, 2018.
John Lasseter, 59, who directed the first two “Toy Story” movies and will direct the fourth, said last year that Woody and Buzz Lightyear (Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, reprising their roles) “go out to find Bo Peep and bring her back, and it’s a very special and emotional love story. But it’s extremely funny too.”
It originally had been scheduled for June 16, 2017.
