Clear your schedule -- the Lifetime film "A Deadly Adoption" starring Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig premieres on the network Saturday night at 8.
In April, reports surfaced that Ferrell and Wiig were in the process of filming a Lifetime movie together, but those reports were quickly doubted as the announcement happened to come on April Fools' Day. Ferrell then issued a statement saying he was canceling the project since its taping reveal was leaked.
But on Saturday, a "Deadly Adoption" promo stretched across the homepage of Lifetime.com, letting viewers know that the anticipated film actually is happening.
Lifetime says the "high-stakes dramatic thriller" is inspired by a true story of a couple that takes in the birth mother of their soon-to-be adopted child. But like any Lifetime thriller, the plot definitely doesn't end there.
The film, written by Andrew Steele, a writer behind "Saturday Night Live" and "Funny or Die," actually pokes fun at other Lifetime thrillers, NPR says, calling it an extended "SNL" sketch.
Jessica Lowndes of "90210" also stars in the film as the expectant biological mother.
