"Jersey Shore" without New Jersey?
While the cast of the popular MTV reality TV series may have begun filming the second season in Miami, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and company will indeed return to the Jersey Shore for the remainder of production, The Associated Press reports.
The original eight "Jersey Shore" cast members - Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino and Angelina Pivarnick - will return to pump their fists, but a casting notice posted Tuesday was looking for possible new additions to the cast.
The second season is scheduled to premiere July 29.
Meanwhile, the production company behind "The Jersey Shore" is looking for Persian-Americans.
495 Productions and Doron Ofir Casting have announced that they're casting a "Persian version" of the MTV hit reality show about young Italian-Americans partying at the beach, The Associated Press reports.
The casting call, which Gawker.com first reported, seeks applicants who are 21 or older, "appear younger than 30 and are outrageous, outspoken proud Persian-Americans who rule the Hollywood nightlife and own Beverly Hills."
A spokesman for 495 Productions didn't reply to questions about whether the show had any TV network deal.
