After trying out Nikon at Jones Beach Theater last year, the “American Idols” will head back indoors this summer when they visit Long Island, stopping at Nassau Coliseum on Aug. 23.

While the title is still up for grabs – James Durbin does seem intent on challenging front-runner Scotty McCreery – the Top 11 for the tour has been set for weeks. Will Merrick semifinalist Robbie Rosen make an appearance and get a crowd-pleasing shout-out from the stage the way Kevin Covais did a few years back? We can only hope.

Tickets are $45 to $65 and go on sale through Ticketmaster at 10 a.m. May 13.
