SiriusXM will launch The Billy Joel Channel at 6 p.m. Wednesday for a limited three-month run.

The channel will feature music from throughout Joel's career, starting with The Echoes in 1964 and running through his newest LP, the upcoming chronicle of his 1987 Russian concerts "A Matter of Trust: The Bridge to Russia," which will air in its entirety on May 20, the day it hits stores. Joel will discuss his career on the channel, as well as air 40 years of archival interviews. Members of Joel's band will also serve as guest DJs.

"Billy Joel is one of the most beloved musicians of the past five decades whose music and cultural initiatives remain relevant to fans of every age," Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM's president and chief content officer, said in a statement. "Our channel celebrating the legendary Piano Man will offer listeners a truly comprehensive and deep dive into the music of one of today's most important musicians."

The Billy Joel Channel will be on Sirius XM Channel 4. (" '40s on 4," which airs there now, will be available online.)
