Billy Joel has announced that his 90th Madison Square Garden show — the 44th concert in his record-setting residency at the arena — will be on Aug. 21.
That milestone is just one of several records Joel will set this summer. He will become the first artist to play Wrigley Field four years in a row, extending his lead as the artist who has sold the most tickets at the Chicago stadium. He will also become the first artist to play Fenway Park four years in a row, a record that will be marked by the Boston Red Sox declaring “Billy Joel Night” on Aug. 1.
Joel is also set to open the renovated Nassau Coliseum on April 5.
Tickets for Joel’s 90th show at The Garden go on sale at 10 a.m. March 31 through Ticketmaster. Citi cardholders can begin purchasing pre-sale tickets at 10 a.m. March 27 through citiprivatepass.com
