Nearly 51 years after last playing Forest Hills Stadium, Bob Dylan returns there for a concert with opening guest Mavis Staples.

The Queens venue announced Monday that legendary folk/rock performer Dylan and his backing band will play Friday, July 8, at 7 p.m., with general-public tickets going on sale Saturday, March 19, at 10 a.m. Pre-sale for American Express cardholders begins Monday, March 14, at 10 a.m.

Dylan last played Forest Hills on Aug. 28, 1965, in one of just three concerts of his “electric summer,” between his infamous Newport Folk Festival appearance and his Hollywood Bowl show.
