De La Soul is taking Valentine’s Day to a whole new level. The pioneering hip-hop trio from Amityville is celebrating its 25th anniversary by making its entire catalog available for free download on its website for 25 hours starting at 11 a.m.
"It's about allowing our fans who have been looking and trying to get a hold of our music to have access to it," De La Soul's Posdnuos told Rolling Stone. "It's been too long where our fans haven't had access to everything. This is our way of showing them how much we love them."
Of course, people will be rushing to snag the classic “3 Foot High and Rising” if, for some reason, they haven’t picked it up since they had it on cassette. But the De La catalog is deep – from the great “De La Soul Is Dead” and “Stakes Is High” to the more experimental “Art Official Intelligence.”
