Eric B. and Rakim are ready to lead once again.
The Long Island Music Hall of Famers announced the “Technique” tour, their first tour since breaking up 25 years ago, which includes stops at Irving Plaza in Manhattan on April 10 and The Paramount in Huntington on April 12.
“It’s just the beginning,” the hip-hop duo tweeted Tuesday, along with their tour dates. “More updates to follow (the leader).”
That may be a reference to their album “Follow the Leader,” which celebrates its 30th anniversary in July and includes the classic “Microphone Fiend.” Last year, Elmont native Eric B. and Wyandanch’s Rakim performed together for the first time in 20 years to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut, “Paid in Full,” at the Apollo Theater in Manhattan. The star-studded show featured Flavor Flav, EPMD, Ma$e, Ice-T and Roxanne Shante paying tribute to the duo.
Tickets for both “Technique” shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.
