Forever in Your Mind is ready to take a bigger bite out of Hollywood.
The pop trio — made up of Holbrook’s Emery Kelly, Ronkonkoma’s Liam Attridge and Texas native Ricky Garcia — is promoting its debut EP “FIYM” (Hollywood), hoping to push its first single, “Hurricane,” onto Radio Disney. Like One Direction, the trio trades in upbeat pop with a sprinkling of rock guitar and shout-along choruses, as well as sweet, catchy acoustic ballads like “Compass.” It also has roots in “The X Factor,” where Kelly and Garcia met during the audition process.
However, the FIYM guys are also looking to TV to introduce themselves to America. Attridge says the group is shooting a pilot for the Disney Channel called “Forever Boys,” where the boys play a band of brothers from the ’50s who become vampires. “It’s going to be a lot of fun,” he says.
Garcia is already a regular on Disney’s “Best Friends Whenever” and the group sings the show’s theme song, so the trio is hoping to land something more permanent.
Whether the vampire thing works out or not, the guys plan to continue work on their debut album.
