Welcome to Grammy nominations night! Will Adele and Tony Bennett really run roughshod over everyone else? Will there be surprises beyond what Lady Gaga is wearing? We'll find out together starting at 10 p.m. on CBS. Drop by for the liveblogging here after yelling at the “X Factor” judges and check out our preview of the evening's festivities here.

10:01 pm -- Gothic Gaga kicks off the evening with "Marry the Night," with staging that looks very "Streets of Fire."

10:04 pm -- Nice trash-can lid hat!

10:05 pm -- Record of the Year nominees: Adele, "Rolling in the Deep"; Bon Iver, "Holocene": Bruno Mars, "Grenade"; Mumford & Sons, "The Cave": Katy Perry, "Firework"

(Ooh, Gaga was robbed! And I'm a Bon Iver fan, but there's no way that "Holocene" was heard by anywhere near enough people for it to qualify for "Record of the Year." "Song of the Year" sure, but come on.)

10:07 pm -- Rihanna is live from London for "We Found Love."

10:13 pm -- The Band Perry is doing "Independence" and "Free Fallin'," a run-up to their Best New Artist nomination no doubt.

10:18 pm -- Song of the Year nominees: Kanye West, "All of the Lights"; Mumford & Sons, "The Cave"; Bruno Mars, "Grenade"; Bon Iver, "Holocene"; Adele, "Rolling in the Deep"

Guess Mumford & Sons got the country spot that probably should have gone to Jason Aldean or Taylor Swift.

10:23 pm -- Jason Aldean does "Dirt Road Anthem" with Ludacris. Where are his nominations?

10:32 pm -- Best New Artist nominees: The Band Perry, Bon Iver, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, Skrillex

Whoa. Skrillex is a surprise -- showing how dance music is getting more respect from the academy.

10:34 pm -- Common leads a fiery version of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five's "The Message," inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Even LL Cool J gets involved, along with Lupe Fiasco.

10:43 pm -- Usher delivers a tribute to the late Nick Ashford and Jerry Leiber, with Valerie Simpson and Mike Stoller.

10:51 pm -- Album of the Year nominees: Adele, "21"; Foo Fighters, "Wasting Light"; Lady Gaga, "Born This Way"; Bruno Mars, "Doo Wops & Hooligans"; Rihanna, "Loud"

Wow. To prevent a shocking Arcade Fire-ish repeat win, the Academy has gone super pop, with only Foo Fighters waving the flag for rock.

10:53 pm -- Gaga and Sugarland team up for "You and I."
