Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will lead the annual Parrothead pilgrimage to Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 15.
This year’s show is special, though, for Buffett, who will likely sail down from his Sag Harbor home to Jones Beach. It’s the 40th anniversary of his “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” album, which included his classic “Margaritaville.” Also, “Escape to Margaritaville,” the musical based on the song, is set to debut at La Jolla Playhouse in May.
“I can’t think of a better way to celebrate summer than by seeing Jimmy Buffett at the Beach,” said Jason Miller, president of Live Nation New York. “We look forward to welcoming Jimmy and all Parrotheads back to Jones Beach for another incredible night of music on Long Island.”
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 20 through Ticketmaster. There will be a limit of eight tickets per customer.
