Katy Perry will bring her “Witness” tour to the area in a big way, including stops at NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum, Barclays Center and Madison Square Garden.
Perry announced Monday that her new album — featuring the hits “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Bon Appetit” — will also be called “Witness” and will be released June 9 on Capitol Records. Those who buy tickets to the tour, which go on sale at 10 a.m. May 22 through Ticketmaster, will also get a copy of the album.
She is set to play Madison Square Garden on Oct. 2, Nassau Coliseum on Oct. 3 and Barclays Center on Oct. 11.
Citi cardholders can purchase pre-sale tickets starting at noon Thursday. Ticketmaster is also offering presale tickets from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday for those who use the company’s new Verified Fan program, which it hopes will combat ticket scalpers. Fans can register for the program at Perry’s website, katyperry.com.
“Witness” will be Perry’s first tour since “Prismatic” wrapped up in 2015. She will give fans a taste of what the tour may be like when she serves as musical guest for the season finale of “Saturday Night Live” on Saturday.
