Kenny Rogers knows when to fold ’em.
“The Gambler” plans to play his final “Christmas & Hits” show, a tour that celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, at NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Dec. 23.
“Christmas has always been a special time of year to me,” Rogers said in a statement. “The feeling I get performing on the Christmas tour is one of the things I’ll really miss about not being on the road. We will be sure to take extra time to cherish some moments on this last go around, and I hope as many people as possible will be able to join us in creating a new set of holiday memories.”
Rogers, 77, announced last year that his current tour would be the final one of a career that spans six decades. Though his greatest hits tour “The Gambler’s Last Deal” has been extended through 2017, his Christmas tour is set to end at Westbury.
