It will be a battle of the free shows in Manhattan on May 27, when Lady Gaga kicks off “Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series” in Central Park and Rihanna kicks off “The Toyota Concert Series on Today” on Rockefeller Plaza.
Both shows will take place between 8 and 9 a.m. and require lengthy waits (and maybe tickets) if you want to get close enough to see the stars. But hey, the price is right.
May 27 will be the biggest conflict, though the competing morning shows will be dueling with free shows on Fridays throughout the summer. “Good Morning America” didn't announce the dates for the rest of the artists in its summer concert series – though they include Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Florence and The Machine and Merrick native Debbie Gibson with her touring pal Tiffany.
“The Toyota Concert Series on Today” will feature:
