As if returning to Bethel, N.Y., to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock wasn't special enough, Mountain's Leslie West is planning to get married at the end of the band's set.

"You can get married in Paris," West said Thursday. "But I think getting married onstage at Woodstock would be really special. It's such a beautiful amphitheater. I just thought it would be a great idea."

The Long Island Music Hall of Famer best known for such hits as " Mississippi Queen" and his fiancee Jenni Maurer have already visited the Bethel justice of the peace and are ready to tie the knot onstage, after being engaged since December.

"I'm already looking forward to the show and this will be just another great part of it," said West, who lives in New Jersey now, though he grew up in East Meadow and Lawrence. "The only thing that surprises me is how long ago that original show was. Time flies when you're having fun." -
