Patchogue's Chrisette Michele clearly loves Christmas on this gorgeous version of "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear." She's even doing a show on Christmas Day at the Highline Ballroom featuring her favorite carols and some classic songs. Hopefully she slips some songs from her excellent new "Let Freedom Reign" album in there too.
Also in the spirit of the season, Huntington-based Paradiddle Records is offering a version of John Lennon's "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)," recorded by 25 Long Island musicians, including Patchogue's Chris P. Cauley, as a free download.
