Matchbox Twenty and Counting Crows will team up for “A Brief History of Everything 2017” tour this summer, including a stop at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 31.

“No matter what I will ever do, nothing feels like home as much as playing these songs with these guys and it never will,” Matchbox Twenty singer Rob Thomas said in a statement. “And I can’t wait to spend another summer out there on the road with the Crows.”

Thomas spent last summer touring as a solo artist with Counting Crows, and singer Adam Duritz said the band was eager to hit the road with him again. “To be honest, we took a vote after last year and decided to spend every summer with Rob from now on,” Duritz said in a statement. “Can. Not. Wait.”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Live Nation. Citi cardholders can begin purchasing presale tickets at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
