Nikon at Jones Beach Theater announced its first show for next summer -- Neil Diamond, making his beach debut on June 8 (that's a Friday, for your scheduling purposes).
He'll be playing his greatest hits that night, which will be released Dec. 6 on "The Very Best of Neil Diamond -- The Original Studio Recordings." It's the first collection to draw from his complete studio discography, and includes such tracks as "Sweet Caroline," "I'm A Believer," "Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon," "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," "Red, Red Wine" and "America."
Tickets for the June date, $29.50 to $149.50, go on sale Dec. 5 at livenation.com.
Meanwhile, the Liza Minnelli show rescheduled for March 23 at the NYCB Theater at Westbury has been pushed back again, to April 21. The Tony Award winner recently broke her ankle. Tickets purchased for the original Dec. 18 show will be honored, and refunds are available to those who can't make the re-rescheduled performance.
