Nile Rodgers’ FOLD Festival — with scheduled headliners DNCE, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Bette Midler — has been postponed.
In a statement posted Friday on its website, organizers say the event, originally set for Aug. 12-14 at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead, has been “temporarily postponed until further notice.” No reason was given.
Refunds are available at the point of purchase. Customers who purchased their tickets through Ticketmaster or the festival website will get refunds automatically issued to their credit cards.
The festival, which launched last year at the vineyard with A-list stars including Beck, Pharrell and Keith Urban, had major expansion plans this year, growing from two to three days in Riverhead and launching a version in London, which took place June 24-26.
Due to the postponement, the FOLD Festival Emerging Artists contest created to have Long Island acts perform at the festival has also been scrapped. Stephanie Israel, marketing and public relations director for East End Arts, which was sponsoring the contest, said contestants have been notified and their entry fees will be refunded.
