Outdoor music venues on Long Island

Summers were created for many things. One of those things is outdoor music.

On Long Island, we have nine months of indoor music venues, so when the summer hits, we get to let loose for some music under the sun, under the stars and occasionaly under some clouds.

Some of these venues offer free admission, such as the Jones Beach Boardwalk Bandshell, while others require tickets for admission.

Nikon at Jones Beach Theater is an open-air venue where the concerts go on, rain or shine (lightning is a different story). If your seats are on the floor, you've got a perfect view of the show. If you're up top, you've got the stage, the big screens AND the ocean view. Both spots are worth the price of the admission.
