Taking Back Sunday will team up with Coheed and Cambria for a summer tour of amphitheaters, including a stop at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk on July 21.

“It’s funny, we’ve been friends all of this time but we’ve never done a full tour together,” Taking Back Sunday drummer Mark O’Connell said in a statement. “We ran into each other at some festivals last year and got to talking about it and here we are.”

The bands will join forces on July 6 in Miami’s Bayfront Park Amphitheatre, with the tour finishing Aug. 12 in Phoenix. Before the summer tour, Long Beach-based Taking Back Sunday will be playing European festivals, supporting its “Tidal Wave” album.

Tickets are $39.50-$59.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Fans can purchase presale tickets through links on Taking Back Sunday’s website starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
