Vampire Weekend and Bright Eyes will headline the inaugural MTK: Music to Know Festival on Aug. 13 and 14 at the East Hampton Airport, organizers announced Tuesday.
“We are excited to bring this collection of artists together in our community, and hope this is the first of many annual events,” said co-founder Chris Jones in a statement.
Organizers have teamed with Downtown Music and RCRDLBL for the festival, who have curated the lineup, which includes Matt & Kim, Ra Ra Riot, M. Ward and the Tom Tom Club, and added in some of their acts, including Cold War Kids.
“Downtown and RCRDLBL are pleased to partner with the MTK team to curate such an incredible lineup featuring some of today's most exciting and innovative artists,” Downtown chief executive Josh Deutsch said in a statement. “And we are especially excited to bring the event to such a unique and special place as the Hamptons - one of the most vibrant cultural communities in the country.”
Two-day passes went on sale today for $195 at the festival's website musictoknow.com.
