The festival is entering the last lap Sunday, with the Golden Starfish Awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at Guild Hall. Also scheduled: Stevie Nicks will speak at noon at the Bay Street Theater, and Melissa Leo will hold a screenplay reading at 4 p.m. at Presbyterian Church Hall.
Below are some of the day’s movie highlights.
1:15 p.m. at UA East Hampton: "Dead Man’s Burden." This independent Western, about a Civil War veteran who returns to a changed South, was just picked up by Cinedigm for distribution.
1:30 p.m. at UA East Hampton: Alex Gibney’s documentary "Mea Maxima Culpa" looks at an early sex abuse case brought against the Catholic Church.
3 p.m. at Sag Harbor Cinema: "In Your Dreams: Stevie Nicks." The singer, and producer Dave Stewart (of Eurythmics), made this documentary about her 2011 solo album.
6:30 p.m. at UA East Hampton: David O. Russell's "Silver Linings Playbook" stars Bradley Cooper as a bipolar man living with his parents (Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver).
9 p.m. at Guild Hall: "Not Fade Away." The closing night film, about teens who start a rock band in the 1960s, stars a cast of mostly unknowns. It's the first features directed by David Chase ("The Sopranos").
