Terrence Howard addresses assault incidents

Terrence Howard opened up about cases of domestic violence with his former wives in an interview with Rolling Stone. The "Empire" star, who has been arrested once for battery, admits to striking both of his exes.

Speaking about Lori McCommas, whom he was married to from 1989 to 2003 and 2005 to 2007, Howard, 46, said: "She was talking to me real strong, and I lost my mind and slapped her in front of the kids. Her lawyer said it was a closed fist, but even slapping her was wrong."

The actor also addressed the attack that took place in Costa Rica two years ago with Michelle Ghent, his wife from 2010 to 2013.

According to a civil complaint filed by Ghent, Howard allegedly followed her into the bathroom and punched the left side of her face, grabbed her by the neck and then strangled her.

"She was trying to Mace me and you can't see anything so all you can do is try to bat somebody away," Howard said to Rolling Stone, "and I think that something caught her. But I wasn't trying to hit her."
