The Lin-Manuel Miranda-Ben Platt mash-up “Found/Tonight” is tearing up social media.

“Lin starts singing, I start crying,” said one tweet of the emotional collaboration of “The Story of Tonight” from “Hamilton” and “You Will Be Found” from “Dear Evan Hansen,” arranged by Alex Lacamoire, the orchestrator who worked on both plays. “Our Musical Theater Marvel/DC Crossover,” teased Miranda on Twitter.

This is the latest release in the Hamildrops project, announced by Miranda in December that promises a monthly drop of music from the still-going-strong “Hamilton.” It’s a far cry from the previous release, which gave us “Weird Al” Yankovic doing “The Hamilton Polka.”

The message of “Found/Tonight” is a powerful one, encouraging those who feel powerless to stand up to adversity. That is clearly the intent, as part of the proceeds will go to the March for Our Lives initiative. “Keep streaming/downloading/listening,” Platt tweeted, ending the message with #GunControlNow.
