Bruce Willis will make his Broadway debut opposite Obie Award-winning actress Elizabeth Marvel ("Other Desert Cities," "House of Cards") in an adaptation of Stephen King's "Misery," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Willis, who turns 60 on March 19, will play the housebound writer Paul Sheldon, who becomes a prisoner of crazed fan Annie Wilkes (Marvel), a role for which Kathy Bates won an Oscar in the 1990 film version. (James Caan played Sheldon in the movie.)

The play will have a limited run in the fall at a theater to be announced, the Hollywood Reporter said.
