Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan is about to glide on the ice of the stage of the Patchogue Theatre.

The Gateway, the Patchogue's sister theater company, will present its "Holiday Spectacular on Ice" from Dec. 17 through Jan. 1 with Kerrigan, who will serve as host and featured skater. The Patchogue theater's stage will be transformed into an ice rink and will also feature a host of other skaters as well as singers, dancers and even a few canine capers.

Tickets for the show can be reserved by calling the box office at 631-286-1133 or online at thegateway.org.

Kerrigan, 52, attained prominence in her 20s when she earned a bronze medal in the Albertville Winter Olympics and a silver medal at the 1992 World Championships. In January 1994, she made headlines after a man hired by the ex-husband of her rival Tonya Harding struck Kerrigan on the back of her knee at a Detroit ice rink. Kerrigan recovered and later that year won a silver medal at the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer.
