$2 million pot for 'Amazing Race' winner; teams list
First things first: There are no couples from Long Island in the new edition of "The Amazing Race," arriving Sept. 30. But there is this interesting new twist - the winning team can possibly score a $2 million pot. That's not the biggest pot in reality TV history by a long shot ($5 million for "The X Factor") but double the money for "Race." Here's the line from the release describing the twist:
If the Team that wins the first leg of the season can outrace the other 10 Teams and win the final leg of the Race, they will double their money and win a $2 million grand prize instead of $1 million.
So, yes, it sounds tricky, no? But what the heck. Still interesting. Here are the teams:
