'A Series of Unfortunate Events' teaser: First look at Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf

World, meet Count Olaf.

A newly released Netflix teaser for "A Series of Unfortunate Events" gives us a first look at Neil Patrick Harris' character, an evil-looking Count Olaf, who plays guardian to the orphaned Baudelaire children, Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny. 

Count Olaf (played by Jim Carrey in the 2004 film adaptation) is on a mission and will stop at nothing -- he wants these orphans' inheritances.

The 8-episode Netflix adaptation of Lemony Snicket’s books, which also stars Patrick Warburton (Lemony Snicket) and Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss), will be released in its entirely on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017.
