'American Idol:' Angie Miller reveals true star power with Beyonce's 'Halo'

Angie Miller admits she takes a risk by ditching the piano for her second song Wednesday night when the Top 5 take on diva hits, but she says it's one she's willing to take.

And boy, does she go for it.

Beyoncé's "Halo" was bold for the country cutie, but Miller was truly amazing as unleashed on the ballad, really stretching her voice. This is precisely the kind of boldness Janelle Arthur (as well as Miller, actually) needs to show now that she's in the Top 5 — but so far, only the latter has delivered.

Randy Jackson deems her worthy of the Top 3 and says Miller is most definitely "in it to win it." I have to agree.

That performance is hard for anyone to follow, but unfortunately for Amber Holcomb, she pales even more in comparison, with a lackluster version of Barbra Streisand's "What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life." Nicki Minaj calls it "simply perfection," and Jackson says she rocked "probably the most difficult song any of you could ever sing," but she is subpar for me. According to Mariah Carey, that makes me not an American. OK.

What do you think? Who was the best of the night — Candice Glover, Janelle Arthur, Kree Harrison, Ange Miller or Amber Holcomb?
