Will Jennifer Lopez be back on "American Idol?" Will Jennifer Lopez not be back on "American Idol?"
The republic wants to know.
She sat down with BBC Radio Tuesday, and addressed all this, and the takeaway was kind of "who knows." Usually when big stars publicly fence-sit it means they're smack in the middle of a negotiation, and certainly that's right where J.Lo is, I would imagine. The press tour begins in August (at least the Fox portion) and, of course, the network wants to say that she's re-signed.
But Lopez is also probably asking herself -- certainly her management team is -- whether this gig worked out the way it was expected to, or in other words: Did she boost her record sales? Did she get more movie offers? Has Fox been forthcoming about other projects, like acting ones? She is an actress after all, too . . . Plus, moola. Steven Tyler is reportedly making a lot more, and Lopez might feel slighted.
Here's what she said about a return:
"This is the question of the hour. I don't know. I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because honestly I'm very on the fence about it. I had an amazing time doing it, and I loved it, but I have a lot of other things happening . . . It's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year and we're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now!' So I'm not. I'm just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing."
