Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson better watch out -- Ryan Seacrest may be looking to pull up a chair next to them on 'American Idol'
This is pure speculation, but based on how Seacrest in recent years has tried to inject himself more and more into the show, my thought is without Simon Cowell around to smack him down, we're gonna see Ryan gone wild this season.
He's definitely going to have a bigger role during the audition rounds; because of how long the new judges drama played out, he may be the only one who was even around for big chunks.
And since neither J-Lo nor Tyler (nor Randy) seem particularly well-suited for the role of momma hen to the younger contestants, look for Ryan to increasingly speak up on their behalf come the semifinals and finals.
One thing though, I doubt he'll be as snippy personally with Lopez and Tyler as he was with Cowell toward the end. They are legit stars, after all, which means he'll be in full fawning mode.
At least at first.
